Food & Wine Paring

The basics when it comes to paring food wine together are fairly, well, basic. It is safe to pair a red wine with red meats, and white wines with white meats. There are a few exceptions to these rules but in general the basics allow you to play it safe if you're not a wine drinker.

I recently tasted a 2010 Frivolo produced by Vino Noceto Winery. This spritzy, refreshing, lower alcohol moscato returns is the perfect summer sipper by-the-pool, a great hot tub wine, or the perfect partner with Asian food. I paired this wine with an Asian grilled chicken salad. The medium body of this wine stood up to the smokiness of the grilled chicken, and complemented the zesty fresh ginger dressing tossed with the salad greens. This wine can be purchased direct from the winery for 16.00 + shipping and handling.
